Our Doctors
Dr. William Locante
Dr. William Locante, the cornerstone of our Tennessee implant practice, is a talented cosmetic and implant dentist with a friendly approach and a comforting chairside manner. Dr. Locante has been designing beautiful smiles since 1986. With a focus on dental implant therapy, he received his degree in dental surgery from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1986 and subsequently received extensive training in oral surgery, endodontics, and periodontology in the U.S. Navy attached to the U.S. Marine Corps. Dr. Locante has received certification in multifaceted dental implantology from Brookdale Hospital (Brooklyn, New York) and the University of New Jersey School of Medicine and Dentistry.
Dr. William Locante is board certified as an implant dentist by the American Board of Oral Implantology, has been named a diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, is a fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and is past president of the Southern District of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), of which he is a trustee at the national level. Dr. Locante has also served on clinical advisory boards for major dental implant companies, helped develop new techniques and dental implants, and done extensive research in bone cell and bio protein healing mechanisms.
In addition to holding extensive lecturing and teaching appointments in the U.S. and Europe, Dr. William Locante is active in numerous professional organizations, including the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the American Academy of Osseointegration, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Academy of Implants and Transplants, the Tennessee Dental Association, and the Memphis Dental Society.

Dr. Nancy Highland
Graduate of University of Michigan School of Dentistry and practiced in Michigan before moving to Memphis in 2005. Dr. Highland practice focuses on cosmetic and family dentistry. She is married to Matt and has two children. She is an avid runner and competes in local and national competitions. Patients love her gentle and kind nature and her focus on high quality.

Dr. Paul Bland
Dr. Bland was born in Orlando, Florida and received his undergraduate degree from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. He received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and an advanced education certificate in Periodontology, both from the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He has been in private practice and part of the Faculty of the College of Dentistry since 1994. Currently he serves as Interim Chairman of the Department of Periodontology, where he is an Assistant Professor. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, Memphis Dental Society, American Academy of Periodontology and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
